The Renaissance Revival room rests on the 2nd floor and is a personal favorite. This beautifully appointed room features walls covered in period wallpaper, an original grey marble fireplace, and a Queen sized bed. The color tones of this room offer a pallet of calmness to your day. Enjoy the small private balcony that faces the rear of the house and is shaded by a beautiful Maple tree in the warm summer months. Sink into the luxurious bedding and enjoy the company of world-renowned artwork from Renaissance artists such as Da Vinci, Rafael, and Michelangelo. This room has individually controlled heat and air, a private en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, hair dryer, linens, and all assorted toiletries. 

History

The Renaissance Revival period came at the latter part of the 19th Century around 1890. The Renaissance bed, along with the marble-top dresser, is very much indicative of the style of that era. Marble became one of the great loves of Victorians and was widely used in many furniture styles.

Take notice of the famous paintings of the High Renaissance artists around the room. The Renaissance Style drew its inspiration from classical Italian design styles using less of the heavily carved floral, fruit and foliage motifs and more to classic scrolls, knots and pediments.
